1. Verification: At this time, Aaron’s does not have a formal on-site verification process for its overseas suppliers. 2. Audit: At this time, Aaron’s does not have a formal on-site audit process for its overseas suppliers. 3. Certification: s deemed necessary. 3. Certification: Aaron’s has a Master Supplier Agreement which requires our vendors to agree that it will comply with certain terms and conditions.   • No Child Labor: All employees engaged in the production of products for Aaron’s must be at least 16 years of age, or the age required by applicable law, if higher.
  • No Use of Forced, Prison or Indentured Labor: The vendor will comply with all labor laws and regulations regarding the fair and humane treatment of their employees and will not use forced, prison or indentured or involuntary labor of any type in the production of products for Aaron’s.
  • No Human Trafficking or Slavery: The vendor will not permit the use of any human trafficking or slavery in the production of products for Aaron’s.
  • No Harassment or Abuse: The vendor will not tolerate or condone physical, sexual, psychological or verbal harassment or abuse of any vendor employee.
  • No Discrimination: The vendor employees must be employed, paid, promoted and terminated based on occupational ability and not based on personal characteristics or beliefs, such as race, national origin, sex, religion, ethnicity, disability, age and other characteristics protected by local law (excepting compliance with affirmative preferences that may be required by applicable law).
  • Fair Compensation: The vendor will fairly compensate its employees, complying with the local and country laws and regulations governing wages and overtime payment for workers.
  • Appropriate Working Hours: The vendor will comply with all applicable legal limits for working hours and days of service. El proveedor no permitirá que sus empleados trabajen más de seis días consecutivos.
  • Commitment to Health and Safety: The vendor will demonstrate commitment to the health and safety of employees to prevent accidents and injury occurring in the course of work.
  • Safe Housing: If the vendor provides residential housing for its employees,vendor must ensure the housing is healthy and safe.
  • Vendor’s Supplier:The vendor will require its own suppliers to comply with all of the above terms and conditions including the prohibition on human trafficking and slavery.

4. Accountability: Aaron’s is in the process of establishing internal procedures for determining whether vendors are complying with Aaron’s standards regarding corporate social responsibility, including the prohibitions on human trafficking and slavery. 5. Training: Aaron’s is in the process of training its employees and management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management on how to mitigate the risks of the use of human trafficking and slavery to produce products in Aaron’s supply chain.
